Finding the right circumcision service for your baby is an important decision. Parents want an
experienced provider, a safe and carefully performed procedure, clear information about pain
management, and support before and after the circumcision.
Atlanta Baby Circumcision provides professional
circumcision services in Atlanta and surrounding communities for newborns and
infants. Rabbi Elchanan Schulgasser specializes in newborn and infant circumcision and provides
both office appointments and home-visit options for eligible families.
Atlanta Baby Circumcision provides circumcision services primarily for newborns and infants.
Rabbi Elchanan Schulgasser has more than 15 years of experience and has performed thousands of procedures. His experience with newborns and infants allows families to receive care from a provider who is familiar with the needs of babies and the concerns parents commonly have before circumcision.
Parents can contact the office to discuss their baby’s age and circumstances and determine the appropriate timing for the procedure.
Circumcision services are available for families with different backgrounds, religions, and beliefs. Families seeking a traditional Jewish bris and families seeking circumcision without a religious ceremony can discuss their needs before scheduling.
Newborn circumcision is generally performed early in life when the baby is healthy and there is no medical reason to delay the procedure.
Families planning a traditional Jewish circumcision may schedule the procedure on Day 8 after birth when appropriate.
Because every baby and situation can be different, parents should contact Atlanta Baby Circumcision as early as possible to discuss the baby’s age, health circumstances, preferred date, and available appointment options.
If your baby is older than the typical newborn period, contact us to discuss whether circumcision services are available and what options may be appropriate.

For eligible families, home circumcision visits are also available in Atlanta and surrounding communities. A home visit can be a convenient option for parents who prefer to have their baby’s circumcision performed in a familiar environment rather than traveling to an office.
The standard circumcision fee at the Atlanta location is $550.
For home visits, a travel charge of $3.50 per mile applies.
Parents can contact the office before scheduling to confirm the expected travel charge and total cost for a home appointment.
Atlanta Baby Circumcision offers circumcision appointments at its Atlanta location by appointment.
An office appointment gives parents an opportunity to discuss the procedure, ask questions, review pain-management options, and understand what to expect before and after circumcision.
The goal is to make the appointment as straightforward and reassuring as possible for both parents and baby.
If you prefer an office appointment, contact us to ask about current scheduling availability.
Before the circumcision, parents can discuss the procedure, technique, pain management, timing, and aftercare. The baby’s circumstances are considered before proceeding, and parents have an opportunity to ask questions.
Rabbi Schulgasser uses the Mogen technique for newborn circumcision. The circumcision itself is very brief and takes approximately two minutes. Much of the appointment involves preparation, answering questions, making sure the baby is positioned appropriately, and providing aftercare guidance. The baby is held securely throughout the procedure to help prevent unnecessary movement.
After the circumcision, parents receive information about caring for the area and what they can expect during healing. Parents can also ask questions about aftercare and contact Atlanta Baby Circumcision if questions arise after the appointment.
Atlanta Baby Circumcision uses the Mogen technique for newborn circumcision.
The technique allows the circumcision procedure itself to be performed very quickly. Parents can discuss why the Mogen technique is used, how the procedure works, and what to expect during their appointment.
The procedure is approximately two minutes, although the complete appointment takes longer because preparation, questions, pain management, and aftercare are also important parts of the visit.
After circumcision, parents may notice changes as the area heals. Some redness, swelling, and changes in appearance can be part of normal healing. Parents receive aftercare instructions so they know how to care for the circumcision and what changes they may see during the healing period.
The circumcision generally heals over the course of several days, with complete healing commonly occurring within about a week. Parents should follow the aftercare instructions provided after the procedure and contact the provider if they have questions or concerns about their baby’s healing.
Parents commonly ask whether circumcision is painful and what can be done to keep their baby comfortable. Newborns can feel pain during circumcision, which is why pain management and comfort measures are an important part of the process.
Rabbi Schulgasser discusses available pain-relief options with parents before the procedure. Depending on the circumstances, pain management may include local anesthetic and comfort measures such as feeding, swaddling, and soothing. Parents are encouraged to ask questions about pain management before scheduling so they understand what to expect.
Aftercare is an important part of the circumcision process.
Parents receive instructions on caring for the circumcision, including appropriate diaper care and the use of petroleum jelly as recommended. Parents should avoid unnecessary rubbing or irritation of the area while it heals.
If parents have questions after the circumcision, Atlanta Baby Circumcision remains available to help answer aftercare questions and provide guidance about what they are seeing during the healing process. If there is significant bleeding, fever, worsening swelling, spreading redness, pus, unusual odor, difficulty urinating, or the baby appears seriously unwell, parents should seek appropriate medical attention.
Parents should contact Atlanta Baby Circumcision to confirm the total cost for their specific appointment, particularly when requesting a home visit outside the standard Atlanta service area.

Rabbi Schulgasser was calm, informative and reassuring through the whole process! He was very nice and kind enough to even check on our baby boy multiple times after. He answered all of our questions and messages promptly. I wish we knew of him for our other 2 boys. Thank you!!

Very great experience. So much more personal than an in patient office or hospital. Our son hardly cried for long and we were able to hold and comfort him throughout the process. His healing went very well and even the pediatrician commented on how well it looked and healed. It was special to have the family with him during this process. Would highly recommend.

Great experience with Elchanan Schulgasser from the time he was contacted. I reached out to him and he responded very quickly by call or text. We discussed the issue and he evaluated it by a phone consultation and said he would be able to help. So we drove to Altanta and he welcomed us into his home. We had no issues, it was a quick process and he followup with us 24hours later to be sure everything was ok. Thank you some much for your service it was greatly appreciated.

Rabbi Shulgasser gave us excellent service both during and after the circumcision. My son's circumcision was over in like 3 minutes, the procedure was very quick. The outcome was great. It took like 1 week + 4days for the entire wound to heal after applying Vaseline and a gauze as directed by the Rabbi. I will definitely use ABC if I should have more sons.
